Placing an order

Order confirmation

When you place an order, you are making an offer to buy the products in your basket. We will send an email confirmation once your order has been received.

Please check your confirmation email carefully. If anything is incorrect, email us straight away at support@gbcheese.co.uk.

Payments

Please make sure the payment details you provide are correct and that you are authorised to use the payment method.

Payments are handled securely by third-party payment providers. We do not store your full card details on our website.

Order acceptance

We may need to cancel or refuse an order in certain situations, such as product unavailability, an address we cannot deliver to, an obvious pricing or product error, or suspected misuse of the website.

If we cancel an order before dispatch, you will not be charged, or you will receive a refund if payment has already been taken.

Product availability

We do our best to keep our website up to date, but products can occasionally become unavailable.

If an item is unavailable, we may contact you to discuss a suitable option, such as a substitution, refund or alternative product.

Products and substitutions

Product appearance

We try to show and describe our products accurately. However, packaging, colours and product appearance may vary slightly from the images shown on the website.

This will not affect the quality of the product inside.

Substitutions

If a product is unavailable, we may offer a suitable substitution of equal or greater value.

We will try to contact you first where possible. If we cannot reach you in time, we may include a note with your order or refund the unavailable item.

Delivery

Where we deliver

We deliver to many UK mainland addresses, but some postcode areas may be excluded because of delivery time, courier restrictions or the perishable nature of our products.

If no delivery option appears at checkout, we may not currently be able to deliver to your area.

Delivery times

We use courier services for delivery and aim to dispatch orders on our stated dispatch days. Delivery times are estimates and cannot always be guaranteed.

Safe place deliveries

Because our products are perishable, parcels may be left in a safe place if you are not available when delivery is attempted.

Please use the courier’s tracking options to update your delivery preferences where available.

Once your order is delivered

Please bring your parcel inside as soon as possible and refrigerate cheese straight away.

We may not be able to help with items that have spoiled because they were not stored correctly after delivery.

Cancellations, returns and refunds

Cancelling before dispatch

If you need to cancel an order, please email us as soon as possible at support@gbcheese.co.uk.

If your order has not yet been prepared or dispatched, we will do our best to cancel it and refund you.

Perishable products

Because our products include cheese, chutney and other food items, returns are not usually possible once an order has been delivered.

This is because returned food products cannot be resold, even if they look unopened or unused.

If something is wrong

If your order arrives damaged, faulty, incorrect or not as described, please contact us as soon as possible with your order details and photos.

We will review the issue fairly and offer an appropriate solution.

Your statutory rights

Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights. If an item is faulty, damaged, incorrect or not as described, please contact us so we can help.
